Subclass

Back to wiki

Requirements

  • Level 75+ on the class you want to add a subclass to
  • An empty subclass slot (you can hold up to 3 subclasses at once)
  • Every subclass you already have must be level 75 before you can add another one

Step 1 — Talk to a Village Master

Find a Village Master that serves your race/class category and open the Subclass menu. On top of the level requirement above, you must unlock subclassing itself in one of two ways:

PathWhat it takes
NoblesseAlready have Noblesse status — see the Noblesse quest guide. No items required.
Quest itemHold a Star of Destiny in your inventory, earned from the Status of the Beacon Tower quest below.
If you are not Noble and do not have a Star of Destiny, the Village Master will refuse to add a subclass.

Step 2 — Status of the Beacon Tower (earns the Star of Destiny)

At level 76+, talk to Reorin and accept — he tells you directly that this quest rewards "the ability to add subclasses." Then kill four raid bosses, in this exact order:

  1. Shilen's Messenger Cabrio → drops Reiria's Soul Orb
  2. Longhorn Golkonda → drops Golkonda's Infernium Scepter
  3. Kernon → drops Kernon's Infernium Scepter
  4. Death Lord Hallate → drops Hallate's Infernium Scepter

Each boss only drops its item once you have defeated the previous one in the list, and every drop is guaranteed. Bring all four items back to Ferris to turn them in for 1x Star of Destiny.

Step 3 — Add the subclass

With Noblesse or a Star of Destiny in hand, return to the Village Master, pick "Add Subclass" and choose from the available classes for your race.

Adding a subclass does not consume the Star of Destiny, so it stays in your inventory to unlock your 2nd and 3rd subclass slots too.

Alternative source — Fate's Whisper

The much longer Fate's Whisper quest (also starting with Reorin, at level 75+) is built around choosing and forging an A-Grade weapon through a full fetch-and-craft chain culminating in a hit on Baium — but as a side reward, it also grants a Star of Destiny. Only worth doing for the weapon; Status of the Beacon Tower is the fast way to unlock subclassing on its own.

Ladd also offers Mimir's Elixir, a follow-up quest that consumes your Star of Destiny (plus Pure Silver, true Gold and Blood Fire mixed at the Alchemist's Mixing Urn) for a Scroll: Enchant Weapon (A). Don't start it until you've added every subclass you want — it destroys the item the Village Master checks for.
