Baium is the epic boss of the Tower of Insolence. He sleeps as a stone statue on the top floor, the 14th, until someone wakes him. He first appears in Chronicle 11 (Trinity's Might).

After a kill, Baium comes back about 5 days later, always between 22:00 and 23:00 (server time), at a random minute. He then sleeps until someone wakes him. The raid boss list in the Community Board shows the earliest time he can appear.

Getting there: see How to Enter: Baium and the quest An Arrogant Search.

Waking Baium

Talk to Baium's stone statue to wake him. About 20 seconds later he shouts "How dare you wake me! Now you shall die!", pulls the player who woke him to his side and kills them with Baium's Gift. If a Hero is nearby, he calls them out by name. A few seconds later, five Corrupt Archangels appear.

Pick who wakes him. That player dies. Have someone ready to resurrect them.

Baium goes back to sleep

If nobody damages Baium for 30 minutes, he falls asleep again. Everyone in his room is sent to the foot of the tower, the stone statue comes back, and each player needs a new Blooded Fabric to get in again.

If nobody damages him for 5 minutes while he is below 75% HP, he casts Baium Heal on himself, 2,000,000 HP every minute until someone hits him again.

Baium's weaknesses

Weak toEffect
MagicHis physical defence is more than five times his magic defence. Magic is by far the best way to hurt him.
Daggers and bowsBaium takes 25% more damage from dagger and bow attacks.

Baium has no element. No attribute does more or less damage to him. He is Undead, so undead-only skills can target him, but no skill gives bonus damage against the Undead.

What Baium resists

Baium cannot be stunned at all, and has 90% resistance to sleep, root, paralysis and fear. His Archangels have 90% resistance to stun, sleep, root, paralysis and fear.

How Baium fights

Baium turns on healers more and more as his HP drops, most of all below 50% and 25%. Keep them back and protected.

Wind of ForceA huge hit on everyone in front of him, out to a long range.
EarthquakeHits everyone standing around him.
Striking of ThunderboltMagic damage on a group of players, from up to 900 range.
StunParalyzes a group of players for 9 seconds, from up to 900 range.

The Corrupt Archangels

Five Corrupt Archangels (level 83, Angels) appear when Baium wakes. Each has more than 5 million HP, and they attack anyone who comes near. Every so often, some of them turn on Baium and attack him instead of players. They do not come back once killed, and they vanish when Baium dies or falls asleep.

Notable drops

The loot goes to the player who dealt the most damage, and their party.
