Antharas, the Land Dragon, is the epic boss of Antharas' Lair, deep in the Dragon Valley caves. He first appears in Chronicle 12 (Crown of Heroes).
After a kill, Antharas comes back 7 to 8 days later, between 22:30 and 23:30 (server time), but only in odd-numbered weeks of the year. A return that would fall in an even week moves on by 7 days, so in practice he comes back about every two weeks. The raid boss list in the Community Board shows the earliest time he can appear.
Waking Antharas
The first player to enter starts a 30-minute countdown. When it ends, Antharas flies in and the fight begins. Everyone must be inside before that: once he is awake, the Heart of Warding lets nobody else in.
The number of players who entered decides which Antharas wakes up:
| Players inside | Antharas form | Dragon Bombers with his Behemoth |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 90 | Weakest form | 3 |
| 91 to 135 | Normal form | 5 |
| More than 135 | Strongest form, with the most HP | 7 |
Antharas goes back to sleep
If nobody damages Antharas for 15 minutes, he falls asleep again. Everyone in the lair is sent to Giran, and each player needs a new Portal Stone to get back in.
Antharas' weaknesses
| Weak to | Effect |
|---|---|
| Magic | His physical defence is several times his magic defence. Magic is the best way to hurt him. |
| Dragon bonuses | Antharas is a Dragon, so bonuses against Dragons work on him. For example, |
Antharas has no element. No attribute does more or less damage to him.
What Antharas resists
Antharas has 98% resistance to stun and 90% resistance to sleep, root, paralysis and fear. Weakening debuffs never land on him.
How Antharas fights
The lower his HP, the faster he regenerates, so keep the damage steady.
| Skill | What it does |
|---|---|
| Antharas Shock | Hits everyone in front of him, or everyone behind him, and stuns them for 9 seconds. The rear version also throws them into the air. |
| Breath Attack | Magic breath on everyone in front of him, out to a long range. |
| Antharas Terror | Makes a group of players flee in fear. |
| Antharas Fossilization | Turns a group of players to stone for 30 seconds. |
| Antharas Regeneration | Raises his HP regeneration, more strongly below 75%, 50% and 25% HP. |
The Behemoth Dragon
When Antharas drops below 50% HP, a Behemoth Dragon (level 78) joins the fight with 3, 5 or 7 Dragon Bombers (level 78), depending on his form. They are Dragons too, so the same Dragon bonuses work on them.
Notable drops
Antharas drops the same loot in every form. It goes to the player who dealt the most damage, and their party.
| Item | Amount | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100% | |
| S-grade weapons (such as Angel Slayer, Draconic Bow, Forgotten Blade, Heaven's Divider) | 2 | 100% |

| 1 - 59 | 100% | |
| 1 - 39 | 100% | |
| 3 - 4 | 54% | |
| 2 - 4 | 17% |
He also drops several A-grade weapons, and sealed A- and S-grade armour and jewels (Dark Crystal, Majestic, Phoenix, Imperial Crusader, Draconic, Major Arcana, Tateossian), on every kill.
